Hosts Matt and Hope return from a 12-day family trip to Ireland and begin a multi-episode travelogue focused on gardens, landscape design, history, and local brewing traditions. They share highlights from Dublin’s Guinness Storehouse, the terraced majesty of Powerscourt Estate, Kilkenny Castle, and the Smithwick’s brewery.
The episode blends horticultural observations—big hydrangeas, formal terraces, walled gardens, and arboreal specimens—with cultural notes on Irish water, barley, yeast, and the art of pouring a perfect pint, plus reflections on weather, wildfires, and family travel logistics.
